Our Story

Wayfinder Academy was founded in the Spring of 2019, born out of a simple conviction: people are not projects, and education is not merely the transfer of knowledge. True formation—the kind that shapes character, courage, and calling—requires more than curriculum. It requires community, intention, and a compass.

Drawing from the ancestral wisdom of Polynesian wayfinders—who navigated open seas using stars, swells, and spiritual attentiveness—we offer a new kind of academy: one focused on helping people and institutions rediscover how to navigate with clarity, purpose, and soul.

What began as a school and leadership project has grown into a movement—uniting researchers, educators, faith-rooted leaders, students, and communities around a shared mission to become more human.
